Cas RC is looking for a Head of Rugby and 1st Team Coach

The Castricum Rugby Club is looking for a Head of Rugby and 1st Team Coach, either as two part-time roles ( 20 hrs/week) or one combined full time role. 

Contract/Renumeration: as self-employed professional (ZZP-er), lumpsum amount per month
Starting: July 2025

Contract period: 10 months, with intention to extend for minimum of 3 years

Head of Rugby

The Head of Rugby is responsible for the development and implementation of coaching strategies and performance programs across all levels and age groups of rugby within the Castricumse Rugby club.
This role involves coordinating of training programs, coaching sessions, managing player development, and ensuring the effective delivery of high-performance programs to enhance the overall development and success of the rugby teams.

  • An effective manager – tasks will have to be clear and have to be allocated to people which means that the ability to delegate is required.
  • A good communicator – communication is essential to lead meetings and to inspire the club to develop and work efficiently. Do what you say and say what you do. Transparency and being reliable is key in communication as well as action. 

1st Team Coach

The 1st Team Coach is responsible for the development and implementation of training, coaching and game strategies for the 1st team, aligned with the overall strategies of the club. He develops individual and team performance programs for the total selection of the 1st team.

  • An effective manager – well organized and can manage time effectively
  • A good communicator – do what you say and say what you do. Transparency and being reliable is key in communication as well as action. 
  • Experienced rugby coach – high knowledge of rugby and leading and creating teams, experienced as coach and player, at high performance level.
